L’Oréal’s Star-Studded Show at Paris Fashion Week Did Not Disappoint

The sun was shining as we boarded the L’Oréal boat with other VIP guests to cruise  down the Seine for another #PFW spectacle courtesy the mega beauty brand. Last September L’Oréal closed down the Champs-Elysees for an epic runway showcase like no other. Topping their last event seemed unlikely but moving the show from land to water had our interest piqued.

The — count ’em — 70 hair and makeup looks created by Val Garland and Stéphane Lancien were marched down the runway by the brand’s major faces and ambassadors like Elle Fanning, Eva Longoria, Liya Kebede, and Andie MacDowell. The opening look was modelled by Doutzen Kroes (our May cover model) who arrived by boat in what felt like a scene from a James Bond movie. Spectators surrounded the floating 60 metre runway on all sides with our VIP boat on one end and crowds gathered on the nearby riverbank and bridge.

As we get our sea legs back, the only question we have after the show is: what will they do next year?
