Kate's Red Coat Might Be 5 Years Old, but We're Definitely Happy to See It Again

Commonwealth Day celebrations in London offered the British royals the perfect excuse to get together in celebration, and Kate Middleton was among the many senior members of the family who put in an appearance at a special service at Westminster Abbey to mark the occasion. Last year, the duchess wore a simple navy look for the service, but this year she opted for a far more striking option, dressed in a bright red Catherine Walker double-breasted coat.

It's not the first time we've seen Kate in this bold coat. She first wore it for another Commonwealth-associated outing, when she stepped off a plane in New Zealand during the 2014 royal tour. Back then, Kate teamed the coat with a pillbox hat, but this time around, it was her sister-in-law Meghan Markle who opted for that style, while Kate picked a smaller hat instead.
