Princess Beatrice Wears "Like a Totally Important Designer" on Her Sweet Date Night

The National Portrait Gallery gala on March 12 turned out be a right royal affair. Kate Middleton was busy getting a little extra wear out of a (slightly modified) Alexander McQueen gown, but it was Princess Beatrice who got tongues wagging as she made her first appearance with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who she is said to have been dating since September 2018. For this important date night, Beatrice opted to wear a red Alaia dress, and in true '90s girl style, we'll be damned if we're not going to make the obvious Clueless reference.

Beatrice opted for a red velvet shirtdress by this "totally important designer," which she teamed with black tights and navy velvet Jimmy Choo Daphne pumps. A studded red belt and a black croc clutch bag finished the look. Take a closer look at this luxurious look ahead, then shop that Alaia dress for yourself, so you too can parade around exclaiming, "You don't understand. This is an Alaia!"
